Where Every Resident Can Learn, Explore, and Belong
My family has used Cromaine Library for years, and as a father of two young library lovers, I have seen firsthand the impact a great library can have on children and families. Cromaine is more than a building full of books—it is a community resource that creates opportunities, supports families, and helps people connect with information, ideas, and each other.
Professionally, I've spent more than a decade in Livingston County working in Michigan's automotive industry, where I lead engineering teams and help solve complex technical and organizational challenges. I also served on the board of Hartland Players, where I gained firsthand experience with nonprofit governance, budgeting, community programming, and organizational oversight. These experiences have taught me the importance of thoughtful leadership, responsible stewardship of resources, transparency, and supporting the professionals who make our library such a valuable resource.
I want to help ensure Cromaine remains a trusted community resource and a welcoming place where people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds can discover new ideas, access reliable information, and make their own informed choices. As the parent of a child with special needs, I have also developed a deep appreciation for the importance of accessibility and equitable access to community resources. Not every family experiences the world in the same way, and libraries play an important role in ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to learn, explore, and participate.
If elected, I hope to bring a practical, family-focused perspective to the board, one grounded in community involvement, thoughtful leadership, and a commitment to keeping Cromaine welcoming and accessible for everyone.
